Cape Maclear, Lake Malawi

I just arrived back from a holiday in Malawi. Cape Maclear, which is on the southern end of Lake Malawi is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. my buddies and I just sat around drinking beer and relaxing on the beach for the entire long weekend. Malawi is definitely an awesome place and I highly recommend that you visit it some time.Matt, Jonn and Brett

Just A Little Problem

Shukwe, the village I live in, has a little bit of an animal issue. We have entirely too many pigs, and with the pigs comes jiggers. Jiggers are basically fleas that come from pigs. The problem is that they like humans as much as they like pigs. They burrow into your skin and lay there eggs and usually the result is some kind of infected wound. Our jigger infestation mixed with the rainy season resulted in me having jungle rote on my feet on several occasions over the rainy season. I thought i would share a little picture of what exactly that is. Oh, and this is no where near as bad as it got other times.

The Sunsets

So...we are just finishing up with the rainy season and we have the most spectacular sunsets during the rainy season. This particular one seemed to pop out of no where while I was eating dinner outside my house. I think it was a totaly awesome scene and wanted to share it with you guys. Enjoy!
