Spring Knocks

This week Mother Nature really began to show the first signs of spring. The tree's are in bloom and the temps are warming up. We almost hit 80 on Thursday and I took advantage of it by taking a nap on the hammock in the backyard.

The warmer weather is proving good for my training. I did another 71 miles this week and hope to bump up closer to 80 this week as the weather is supposed to be nice once again. We did an upside-down ladder speed workout this past Tuesday (2 miles, 1 1/2 miles, 1 mile, 1/2 mile and 1/4 mile with a 1/2 mile recovery in between each) I did our mid-week long run on Wednesday but ended up doing the last 6 miles or so by myself.

We had a few more people join the Zambia June '06 group we have going and everyone is getting stoked to get our adventures underway. There seems to be a diverse group of people from all over the country going with us. Just a few more months and we'll be there.

Chris--Lora and I (Mom) are in Orlando to help Mama Dot celebrate her 80th birthday, and we too are enjoying some beautiful weather. It is so good to see family and visit with friends. You should plan a trip here before you leave for Zambia. Love Mom
